Robert L. Farringer, 73, of Freeport, IL passed away Tuesday October 19, 2021 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born September 8, 1948 in Freeport, IL to Francis and Faye (Blackert) Farringer. Robert served in the Army during the Vietnam War; and was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. Robert was a die cutter at Intercity Box and Plastic, and also Rock Valley Packaging. He enjoyed playing bass guitar and recorded an album in Nashville with Jason Stone and The Classics. He also played bass guitar in Gary Downing and The Classics and Foreplay. Robert also enjoyed fishing and playing the slots. Surviving is Robert's two children Chris Farringer and Abby Farringer both of Freeport, IL; brother Jack (Norene) Farringer of Freeport, IL; three grandchildren Cole, Juleigha, and Jaycelynn; a great-grandchild on the way; and his two cats Stanley and Reese. Preceding Robert in death is his parents Francis and Faye Farringer, three brothers Francis Jr., Eddie, and Ronnie Farringer, and daughter Gabriella "Sissy" Farringer.
