Robert Gaul

Robert Gaul, 80, of Polo, died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Morrison Community Hospital. Robert was born February 27, 1938 in Brookville, Illinois, the son of John H. and Vernnie L. (Krusey) Gaul. Robert married Marlene Weegens on May 24, 1958 in Forreston. Marlene died December 17, 2017. Mr. Gaul drove truck and farmed the Polo area for many years. Surviving are son, Randall Gaul of Polo; daughter, Vickie (Doug) Wiersema of Chadwick; sister, Marjorie Collins of Polo. Also surviving are four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marlene; and son, Robert. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 26, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. Daniel Wiersema will officiate. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery, Forreston.
