Robert G. Barker

Robert Barker, 74, of Freeport, passed away, Wednesday December 13, 2023, at Walnut Acres Nursing Center. Robert was born February 3, 1949, in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the son of Albert and Edith (Vince) Barker. He was a gradated of Freeport High School. Mr. Barker proudly serviced his country during the Vietnam War for the US Army from 1969-1971. He owned and operated Barker Concrete for 15 years. He married Sandy Stichter November 3, 1968. Robert enjoyed fishing, antique cars, tractors, traveling to casinos, and watching the Boston Celtics.

Surviving are his wife, Sandy Barker; brother, Arnie Barker of Forreston; and sister, Elaine Barker of Forreston.

Mr. Barker was preceded in death by parents, two brothers, LeRoy and Duane; and sister, June.

Memorial services will be 1:30 pm Friday December 22, 2023 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12:30 pm until the time of service.
