Robert (Bubba) Fane, 59, of Freeport, passed away at home on Tuesday April 3, 2012. Robert Fane was born on August 23, 1952 in Tippo, Mississippi, the son of James Pickens and Lillie B. Fane. He was raised by his mother, Lillie B. (Sanders) Fane and his grandparents, George (Clara) Fane. Later in Robert'™s life, Lillie and her family moved to Chicago, and then to Freeport, Illinois. Robert was raised along with his siblings, four brothers and eight sisters. During the time that Robert stayed in Tippo, Mississippi, he worked hard in the field and on the farm. Robert was last employed at Quality Metal Cooperation in Bryon, Illinois for over 20 years. He enjoyed doing things with his family and taking road trips. Robert leaves to cherish his memories; his wife; Jean Fane of Freeport, IL., his father James Pickens of Cleveland, OH., his children; Susie Ross of Greenwood Mississippi, Shawanda Fane of Dallas, TX., Albert Ross, Jeanetta Brown, Edward McGee, LaShanda McGee of Atlanta, GA., James Taylor of St. Louis, MO., Selena Norton, Andrea McGee, and Damien McGee of Freeport. Also in loving memories of Robert (Bubba) are his brothers and sisters; Larry (Gwendolyn) Sanders, Dee-Sanders-Moore, Theresa Sanders, Juliette Sanders, Julianne Jackson, James (Anjuray) Sanders, and Myrise Sanders all of Freeport, Annie (Mack) Allison of St. Louis, MO., Tyrone (Anita) Sanders of Chicago, IL., and Katie Sanders of Rockford, IL. Honorable mention to extended family of Robert include nine sisters and three brothers of James Pickens. Joining in their grief are his grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All family members are special and dear, but an honorable mention of cousin George Fane 'Jr.' and friend Marvin Price. Preceding him in death are his mother; Lillie B. Sanders, brother; L.C. Fane, sister; Ora Ellis and a special friend Johnnie L. Heard. Funeral arrangements are in care of Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 14, 2012 at Faith for Deliverance Miracle and Worship Center located on 3247 South Baileyville Road in Freeport.
