Robert D. White, Jr.

Robert D. White Jr., 65, of Freeport, died Saturday, August 24, 2019. Robert was born October 18, 1953 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Robert and Arla (Bonnett) White Sr. He worked for Illinois Central Railroad, Newell and Danfoss. He was a member of the Freeport Eagles Club. Robert was an avid New York Yankee fan. Surviving are his daughter, Dr. Amanda White (Dr. Huzeyfe Yilmaz) of St. Louis, Missouri; mother, Arla White of Freeport; two brothers, Dennis (Cathy) White of Dakota and Michael White of Freeport; two sisters, Mary Burns of Freeport and Jody (Kay) White of Montello, Wisconsin; also surviving are many uncles, nieces, and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his father, brother, Jim; nephew, Bradley; and his grandparents. Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday August 29, 2019 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in his memory.
