Robert D. Dagel

Robert D. Dagel, 78, of Freeport, passed away, Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Robert was born October 1, 1943, in Freeport, the son of Robert and Annabelle (Martin) Dagel. He married Lana Powell on July 1, 1965. Mr. Dagel proudly served his county in the U.S. Navy. Robert worked at Micro Switch for over 35 years. Surviving is his wife, Lana Dagel of Freeport; sister, Sandi (Delbert) Skaar of Rockford; niece, Wendy (Tim) Bray of Rockford; niece, Vanessa; two nephews, Neil (Sonya) Suess of Pecatonica and Brian Suess of Monroe, Wisconsin; and sister-in-law, Sally Powell. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Rebecca. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday November 6, 2021, Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Gary Quinn will officiate. There will be a visitation from 12:30 p.m until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in his Robert's memory.
