Robert "Butch" Mordick

Robert "Butch" Mordick, 80, of Freeport, passed away, Wednesday March 1, 2023, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Butch was born September 28, 1942, in Freeport, the son of Francis and Mary (Meyers) Mordick. He was a 1961 graduate of Freeport High School. Butch was Owner of Mrs. Mike's since 1971. Butch is survived by his children, Beth (Tom) Peterson and Daniel Mordick, both of Freeport, and Michael (Cheri) Mordick of Troutville, Virginia; grandchildren, Zach, Kate, Annie, Jordan (Nate), Seth, Jack, Ivy, Eva, Joy, Landen, Gabi, Lucas, Maddux, Phoenix, Finley, and Lizzie; great grandchildren, Abe, Esther, Miles, Silas; and daughter-in-law, Crystal Mordick. Preceded in death by son, Matt; brothers, Francis "Shadow", Fredrick "Fritz", Kenneth "Pete", Richard "Dick", Donald "Don"; and sisters, Shirley "Shirl", Darlene "Doll", Margaret "Sis", Nancy, and Betty. Celebration of Life for both Butch and son, Matt, will be held at a date still to be determined. A memorial has been established in Butch's memory. Events Details are pending.
