Robert "Bob" H. Klosa Sr.

Robert "Bob" H. Klosa Sr., 70, of Freeport, IL passed away Saturday December 10, 2022 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born January 2, 1952 in Freeport to Henry and Matilda (Holbert) Klosa. Bob married Charlotte Euler on October 26, 1974 in Rockton, IL at the Church By the Side of the Road. Bob was employed at Kelly Springfield. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Freeport. Bob enjoyed bowling, golfing, softball, and watching the Cubs and Bears. He also loved all kinds of music and sharing it with his family whether they wanted to hear it or not. Bob also enjoyed documenting special occasions through video. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids as well as his beloved dog Phoebe. He was affectionately known by his great grandkids as "grandpa with the suckers". Bob was most well-known for his kind and gentle spirit. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Charlotte of Freeport; father Henry of Freeport; five children Blake (Wendy) Klosa of Freeport, Wendell Klosa of Freeport, Brian (Aimee) Klosa of Minnesota, Monica Klosa of Freeport, and Robert (Sarah) Klosa Jr. of Freeport; sister Pam Fluegel; 11 grandchildren Ashley, Courtney, Blake Jr., Laura, Zachary, Ashley, Megan, Molly, Payton, Grace, and Alexander; ten great-grandchildren Madelyn, Hayden, Elise, Kendall, Hudson, Cooper, Henry, Hadley, Teagan, and Valerie. Preceding Bob in death are his paternal and maternal grandparents and mother Matilda. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday December 14, 2022 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Foelske officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in his memory for FHN Hospice and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Freeport.
