Robert "Bob" E. Diehl

Robert "Bob" E. Diehl, 73, of Freeport, passed away, Wednesday July 27, 2022, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Bob was born April 21, 1949, in Freeport, the son of Floyd and Darlene (Lower) Diehl. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1969-1971. Bob worked for Chrysler for 5 years and then Freeport Water & Sewer Department for 33 years. He was a member of the Freeport Eagles Club and Freeport Moose lodge. He enjoyed gardening and fishing in his free time. Surviving is his son, Mathew (Laci) Diehl of Pearl City; daughter, Tricia Meyers of Monroe, WI, sister, Nancy Goecks of WI, and four grandchildren, Emily, Michelle, Ries, and Noah. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary, and son. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Monday August 1, 2022, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in his memory.
