Richard Lee Kraft, 63, of Freeport died Saturday in his home after a brief illness. He was born July 26, 1948 in Freeport, the son of Orlo and Clarice (Miller) Kraft. Richard married Vickie Worley on June 17, 1974 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was employed by Thermos Company until his retirement. Mr. Kraft was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Viet Nam era. Mr. Kraft is survived by his wife, His mother, Three sons; Richard (Maria Avery), Dustin Kraft and Clayton Kraft all of Freeport. His daughter, Tasha (Sabah Al-Khafaji) Kraft of Freeport. Five granddaughters; Myleka Avery, Kelsey Kraft, Elicia Kraft, Neda Al-Khafaji and Zahra Al-Khafaji. His uncle Alvin (Patricia) Kraft of Freeport, Il, and his aunt Isadore Hybarger of Rockford, Il. He was preceded in death by his father; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Henry Sr. and Martha Worley; his uncles Spencer, Herbert, Nelson, Russell, Harold, Wayne, Glen, Omer, and Elwyn; and his aunts Helen, Berneice, and Blanche. Funeral service for Mr. Kraft will be Wednesday, 1:00 P.M. in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at Burke-Tubbs.
