Richard "Dick" G. Louthain, 89, of Rockford and formerly of Cedarville died Tuesday at Independence Village, Rockford. He was born March 19, 1931 in Nora, Illinois the son of Richard E. and Evelyn C. (Pearce) Louthain. Richard graduated from Freeport High School in 1949. He then served in the United State Army from 1951-1953 stationed in France. Richard married Carol Anderson in Cedarville, Illinois on February 12, 1955. She died January 30, 1987. He later married Mable Gross May 18, 1991 in Rockton, Illinois. She died April 3, 2018. Richard resided in Cedarville, Illinois from 1945 -1978 before moving to Rockford. Richard was a Tool and Die Maker in Freeport and Rockford. He retired from Warner Lambert in 1996 as a Mechanical Technician. Surviving are two sons, Craig (Michelle) Louthain of Belvedere and Steven Louthain of Rockford. His daughter, Laura Padron of Palm Springs, Ca. Two stepsons, Lonnie (Bonnie) Gross and Donald Gross. Two stepdaughters, Wendy (James) Heiler and Cindy Meyers. His brother Neale H. (Alicia) Louthain of Phoenix, Az. Seven grandchildren, Jonathon (Emma V.) Padron, Sarah Padron, Angelina Padron, Megan, Matthew, Ava and Lucas Louthain. Also, seven step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both wives. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, private family services will be Friday December 18, 2020 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. A memorial service open to the public will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Cedarville Cemetery Memorials have been established for Macular Degeneration Foundation. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, All Life Solutions, and Independence Village.
