Richard G. Baker

Richard G. Baker, 83, of Pecatonica died September 9, 2018 at his home after a long illness. He was born April 29, 1935 the son of Alvin and Iva (Kuntzelman) Baker. United in marriage to Madeline (Staas) Becker. Richard attended Aquin High School. During the Korean Conflict, Richard served in the U.S. Army. Richard was formerly employed at the Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere and was a member of the Local 1268. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pecatonica. Surviving are his wife Madeline; children Debbie (Doug) Whalen, Dave Klaus, Richard Baker, Lynn Baker, Robin Lawrence, Roxanne (Nico) Fatica, Rachael (Nels) McKee, Melody (Becker) Bigelow, Candis (Becker) Peterson, Wendy (Gene) Johnson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ralph (Marge) Baker and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday September 15, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pecatonica. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Following mass a luncheon will be held at the church.
