Richard E. Mcworthy

Richard E. McWorthy, 78, of Freeport, died Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Pearl Pavilion. Richard was born January 1, 1940 in Savanna, Illinois, the son of David P. and Martha L. (Elliott) McWorthy. He married Judith Ann Hockman in 1960 in Nora. Judith died September 18, 1970. Richard then married Sally Hoskins in September of 1983. Sally passed away December 23, 2009. Richard worked at Kelly Springfield for 30 years. He enjoyed bowling, following the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs. Surviving are his sons, Rick (Marian) McWorthy of Lanark and Scott (Gail) McWorthy of Freeport; three daughters, Robin Bryant of Clarksdale, Mississippi, Pam (Eric) Anderson of Monroe and Robin (Jeff) Kerchner of German Valley; also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his two wives, brother, David; and two sisters, Sandra Kisler and Patsy (infant). Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 9, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs.
