Richard A. Eastman Sr.

Richard A. Eastman Sr, 90, of Freeport, IL passed away Friday March 12, 2021 in his home. He was born January 15, 1931 in Freeport to Frank and Luella (Kettlehut) Eastman. On April 21, 1951 he married Marian "Jean" Hastings in Freeport. Marian "Jean" passed away March 24, 2004. He owned and operated Eastrich Printing for many years working alongside his family. Richard was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He is survived by his three daughters Julia (Gary) Piehn, Mary (Dennis) Whitmer and Barbara Jean (Michael) Shuey; daughter-in-law Theressa Eastman; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and special friend Ed Hawley . Preceding him in death is his wife Marian "Jean", son Richard Jr. and sister Lorraine Coomber. A visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday March 21, 2021 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. A private family service will be held. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Lions Club Leader Dogs for the Blind.
