Rebecca "Becky" Buttel

Rebecca "Becky" A. Buttel, 75, of Winnebago, passed away Friday December 16, 2016 in her home. Becky was born August 5, 1941 in Darlington, WI the daughter of Robert C. and Edrye (Smull) Franz. Becky married Donald G. Buttel February 2, 1963 in Darlington, WI. She was a nurse for many years for Dr. Lownick, Freeport School District 145 and Division of Services for Crippled Children. She also tutored at Highland Community College. Becky enjoyed reading, movies, traveling, breakfast on Fridays with her girlfriends and spending time with her grandkids. Becky is survived by her husband Don Buttel of Winnebago; son Joe (Kelly Conley) Buttel of Eau Claire, WI; daughter Jacqueline (Daniel) Goodman of Palatine, IL; and five grandchildren, Kiah, Karl, Claire, McKenna and Emma. She is preceded in death by her parents and Sister Jan Schultz. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday December 21, 2016 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital.
