Rebecca A. Holaday

Rebecca A. Holaday, who loved to be called "Momma" by her kids, departed her loving family on September 14th, 2022 at the Serenity Hospice House in Oregon Il. after a long battle of Cancer with her special friend Tammy by her side. Rebecca was born on February 17,1978, in Clinton, IA to Marshall and Cindy Bork. She was a Graduate of Mt. Carroll High School in 1996. She Married the love of her life, Brett Holaday on August 31st, 2002. They had two beautiful children Ethan and Grace. Brett Passed away in May of 2012 from a long battle of Cancer. Becky then raised her children all on her own. Her Children where her whole world. She was an active member at Forreston Grove Church. She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart. Some of Becky's favorite things were of course spending time with her kids, visiting with church friends, and neighbors, and helping whoever she could. She had a heart of Gold. She was so talented and could teach her self to make anything when it comes to quilting, crocheting, embroidery, and sewing. She loved to garden and her flowers. She loved to bird watch and her cats. She was also a collector of anything with dairy cows. She is survived by her two children Ethan (15) and Grace (11), her extended family Butch and Tammy DeVries of Forreston, Ketarah DeVries of North Carolina, Robert DeVries of Forreston, Brittan and Makayla DeVries and Bowdin of Forreston, Derek DeVries and Casey DeVries of Forreston. And many other family and friends who will deeply miss her. Preceded in Death by her husband Brett Holaday Services will be 11:00 AM Monday September 19th, 2022 at Forreston Grove Church 7246 North Freeport Road Forreston, IL. 61030. Visitation 9:00 AM until the time of service. Luncheon to follow immediately after burial in church basement.
