Randall Scott Pruitt, 61 of Freeport, Illinois passed away Wednesday April 10, 2024 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois with his family by his side. He was born October 25, 1962 in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Thomas and Vera (Hayes) Pruitt. Randall was a 1981 graduate of Freeport High School. After graduating high school, Randall served in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed working on cars, sewing, and cooking. Randall was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
He is survived by his mother Vera Allyson; seven brothers Garland (Loretta) Pruitt, Eric (Prose) Vonzel, Kerry Pruitt, Maurece Pruitt, Phelix (Felecia) Pruitt, Andre (Gina) Pruitt, and Julius Pruitt; two sisters Tamilla (Rev. Rickey) Stidman and Myrna Gossett; three step-brothers Frankie Felton, Kenneth (Theresa) Felton, and Alvin Felton; and three step-sisters Gloria Fane, Helen Felton, Evelyn Boyett; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding Randall in death is his father Thomas Pruitt; three sisters Devorie, Yasmin, and Lisa; two step-brothers Charles and John; one step-sister Rosie Felton; and nephew Jermaine; and great-great-niece Amariyah.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 20, 2024 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Rickey E. Stidman officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Freeport City Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Randall’s memory.
