Precious Palmer, Jr., 73, of Freeport, IL, died Tuesday March 22, 2022, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. He was born February 1, 1949, in Greenville, MS, the son of Precious and Thelma (Rogers) Palmer, Sr. Precious married Jessie M. Simmons. Precious is survived by seven sons, Adron (Kristi) Simmons of Freeport, IL, Jeffrey Peter Palmer of Chicago, IL, Timothy (Cynthya) Palmer of Houston, TX, Charles Palmer of Chicago, IL, Carl (Vivian) Palmer of Plano, IL, Jonathan Palmer of Freeport, IL, and Markel (Lyndsay Dearth) Palmer of Freeport, IL; one daughter, Jolanda McKinnie of Maywood, IL; six brothers, Lee (Earl) Palmer of Greenwood, MS, Charles (Juanita) Palmer of Cahokia, IL, Robert Palmer of Detroit, MI, James (Sherry) Palmer of Minter City, MS, Precious Mable of St. Lois, MO, and Herman (Katrina) Clark of Jackson, MS; five sisters, Vester Mae Palmer of Cahokia, IL, Clara Mae Palmer of Cahokia, Il, Ruby Lee (Roy) King of Drew, MS, Etha Hollins of Cahokia, IL, and Shirley (Travis) Wallace of Minter City, MS; 15 grandchildren; two God Daughters, Tonya Collins and Mia Boggess; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Henry Palmer; and sister, Murlean Palmer-Beckem. A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. Friday April 1, 2022 at Evangelistic COGIC, 440 S. Benton Ave. Freeport, IL. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday April 2, 2022 at New Jerusalem COGIC, 4 East Iroquois St. Freeport, IL.
