Phyllis A. Schriner

Phyllis Ann Schriner, 88, of Freeport, passed away, Wednesday November 29, 2023, Provena St. Joseph Center. Phyllis was born January 23, 1935 in Freeport, the daughter of Joseph and Edna (Rahn) Schriner. Phyllis worked for Burgess Battery for 36 years. She also worked for the Illinois Probation Department for 13 years. Phyllis had a deep love for all animals; particularly her cats. She Volunteered at Friends Forever Humane Society. Phyllis also enjoyed reading in her free time. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Phyllis is survived by her cousins; Sandy Maves and her daughters Laurie and Lisa, Jim (Jessica) Currier and their children Noah Currier and Kayden Currier, and Dan (Shane) Currier and their daughter Alexis (Kyle) Lewis

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday December 4, 2023 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Lanark Cemetery. Memorial has been established for Friends Forever Humane Society in Mrs. Schriner’s memory.
