Pearline Brown

Pearline Brown, 83, of Freeport, IL went to be with the lord Tuesday October 26, 2021. She was born July 7, 1938 in Kosciusko, MS the daughter of Henry and Hattie (Graham) Brown. Pearline was a faithful member of the Freeport Church of Christ. Pearline received her GED from Highland College. She was known for her cooking, especially her homemade recipes. Pearline enjoyed looking after her flowers and plants. She was a matriarch of flowers. Her family will forever remember her old sayings and her sassiness. Surviving is Pearline's son Kelvin Brown; three daughters Patricia Brown, Lakinda Brown, and Genniffer Henderson; two brothers Woodrow Felton and Jimmie Davis; sister Annie (Tony) Turner; four grandchildren Brittani Brown, Denaja Levison, Denarez Levison, and Briauna Crump; four great-grandchildren Ariaja Giles, Brindynn Brown, Aidyn Bradley, and Ashdyn Bradley; three special nieces and nephews Erwin (Gwen) Fair, Stephanie Jones, and Lonzo (Verna) Felton; special family friend AJ (Wendy) Burnside and a host of other nieces and nephews; and good friend and caregiver Robert Evans. Preceding Pearline in death are her parents; two brothers Johnnie Felton and Mike Felton; and two sisters Katie Pruitt and Inez Lowery. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday November 6, 2021 at the Freeport Church of Christ with Jeff White officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Freeport City Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Pearline's memory.
