Pauline "Polly" D. Forsythe

Pauline "Polly' D. Forsythe, 93, of Freeport, passed away on Thursday January 14, 2021 at Pearl Pavilion Rehab Center. Pauline was born September 26, 1927 in Freeport, the daughter of Frank and Frieda (Heiden) Ross. Polly married William Forsythe January 31, 1953 in Freeport. Mr. Forsythe passed away December 7, 2010. She worked at Burgess Battery for 18 years and Garrity Drug Store for 10 years. Polly also worked as a waitress at many restaurants in Freeport throughout the years.. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Polly enjoyed doing volunteer work at Malcom Eaton. Surviving are her son, Jeffrey Forsythe of Rockford; sister, Margaret (Richard) Mason of Cedarville; and two grandsons, Jonathon Forsythe and Jared Forsythe. Polly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Larry Ross; and son, David A. Forsythe. Funeral services will be Tuesday January 19, 2021 in the Chapel of Peace (Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens). Rev. Mark Winkelman will officiate. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
