Paul O. Tucker, 89, of Freeport, died Tuesday August 11, 2015 in his home. He was born August 11, 1926 in Freeport, IL, the son of Adrian and Rose (Kutzke) Tucker. He married Darlene "Doll" Mordick June 10, 1950 in Freeport, IL; she died June 17, 2005. Paul worked for U.L. Lab, Micro-Switch, and Fairbanks-Morse. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving during the South Pacific-Asiatic Theatres. He was a member of Red Oak United Methodist Church, V.F.W. Masonic Lodge #97, Scottish Rite Bodies, 32 Degrees Valley of Freeport, and High Twelve. Paul enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, and spending time with his friends and family. Paul is survived by his two sons David (Mary Lou) Tucker of Burlington, WI and Terry Tucker of Freeport, IL; his daughter Rose Ann (Jeff) Monigold of Freeport, IL; his brother Harold (Lois) Tucker of Stockton, IL; 6 grandchildren Audrey, Alice, April, Adrian, Abby, and Nathan; and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a daughter by heart, Trudy Fritsche. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one brother Elmer; three sisters Amy Wales, Mary Ellen De Lap, and Darlene Mackey. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday August 15, 2015 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with Rev. Don Jamerson and Pastor Gavin Brandt officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Friday at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, with a Masonic service beginning at 7:00P.M. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established for his memory.
