Paul Gordon Crank

Paul Gordon Crank, 81, of Freeport died Thursday August 2, 2018 in his home. He was born May 24, 1937 the son of Paul and Charlotte (Thomson) Crank. On October 28, 1960 Paul married Carolyn Rose Lloyd in Forest Park, IL. Paul is a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Army reserves. He was employed at Commonwealth Edison for 37 years until his retirement as a Construction Superintendent. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and a 50 year Mason Lanark Lodge 423 member. Paul enjoyed traveling near and far, fishing trips with his friends, time with family and friends, volunteering in his community, and the constant companionship of his brown Labrador Sonny. Surviving are his son Andy Crank of Westmont, IL; daughter Sharon (Richard) Kunas of Madison, NJ; two grandchildren Andrew "Drew" Kunas of New York, NY and Grace Carolyn Kunas of Georgetown, D.C.; two brothers-in-law John Fischer and Robert (Linda) Lloyd; sister-in-law Maryann Lloyd; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his dear wife Carolyn, sister Charlotte Fischer, brothers-in-law Donald Lloyd and Melvin Lloyd and sister-in-law Nancy Lloyd. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 18, 1018 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Arthur Stees officiating. A visitation and coffee will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
