Paul Dwayne Klever, 81, of Freeport, died in his home on Sunday. Paul was born on October 2, 1930 in Freeport, the son of Clarence and Mary (Meyer) Klever. Paul married Nancy Zimmerman on December 11, 1953 in Freeport. Paul joined the Army in December of 1954 and got out in 1956. Paul farmed his whole life except for the time he spent in the Army. Paul attended First Baptist Church and the Karis Class. In his later years he served as kitchen help. Paul sold seed corn, oil and feed, and he loved his John Deere tractors. Survivors include wife; Nancy of Freeport, sons; Steve (Jan) Klever of Freeport, David (Barb) Klever of Woodbine, and daughter Paula Maher of Freeport, seven grandchildren; Jeffery, Jonathan, Jennifer, Joseph, Noelle, Trent and Daniel, one step granddaughter; Bridget, four great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren Paul was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Russell and William. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday October 12, 2011 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Caleb Kolstad officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at First Baptist. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established for F.H.N. Hospice in Paul'™s memory.
