Paul "Brady" Bruce

Paul L. "Brady" Bruce, 63, of Freeport, died Thursday February 22, 2018 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born October 27, 1954 in Freeport, IL, the son of Percy and Roberta (Burkhart) Bruce. Paul married Cherri Betts August 30, 1975 in Freeport, IL; she died March 31, 1999. Paul was previously employed by Thermos, Micro Switch, Lena Builders, Sauer Danfoss and Berner Foods. Paul is survived by his fianc Michelle Thomas of Freeport; son, Terrance (Marina) Bruce of Freeport; two daughters, Nicole (Myron) Turks and Treasure Bruce both of Freeport ; three sisters, his twin sister Paulette Farrar of Dixon, IL, Mary Hodge of Woodbury, MN, and Geraldine (Michael) Cole of Dixon, IL; and brother Francis Bruce of Freeport, IL, nine grandchildren, Quaveon Meeks, Dimitri Bruce, Terrance Bruce, Jr., Negil Bruce, Javon Bruce, Mykia Bruce, Nyreek Bruce, Myron Turks, Jr., and Gary Howard, Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Jameir Adams-Bruce, Kyion Meeks, K'Moni Meeks, and Myron Turks III; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a very special cousin and friend Dennis Bruce. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; stepfather, Lawrence Williams; his siblings, Percy Bruce Jr., Eunice Marie Bruce, Lawrence Bruce Jr., Pearlie Mae Gault, and Ethel Rae Pruitt; and his nephew, Percel Bruce. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday March 1, 2018 at St. James C.M.E. Church in Freeport. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
