Patricia "Pat" Huenefeld

Patricia “Pat” L. Huenefeld, 83, of Lena, IL passed away Wednesday May 22, 2024 at Lena Living Center in Lena, IL. She was born March 30, 1941 in Freeport, IL to Joseph and Thelma (Dyson) Veer. On December 10, 1988 she married Leonard Huenefeld at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pearl City, IL. Pat enjoyed camping, playing cards, traveling, and country music. Most of all, Pat loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Leonard of Lena, IL; seven children Julie (Raymond) Miller of Freeport, IL, Deborah (Matthew) Jones of Freeport, IL, Mary (Cliff) Stine of Freeport, IL, Michelle Brinkmeier of Freeport, IL, Brian (Rhonda) Mashaw of Freeport, IL, Penny (Thomas) Avila of Sterling, IL, and Eric (Kim) Mashaw of Freeport, IL; two step-children Jeanne Kulas of Martintown, WI and Vicki (Randy) Schamberger of Lena, IL; siblings Bobby and Ruby; 21 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Pat in death is her son Joseph Mashaw, step-son Larry Huenefeld, son-in-law Todd Brinkmeier, mother-in-law Alta Janssen, siblings Myrna, Shirley, Lavina, Josie, and Rosie,and two grandsons Eric Paddock and Anthony Avila.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 1, 2024 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with Pastor Gavin Brandt officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Pat’s memory.
