Patricia Leary

Patricia Leary, 76, of Freeport, died Wednesday July 4, 2012, at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Patricia was born on February 11, 1936 in Freeport, the daughter of Lowell and Ruth (Williams) Evers. Patricia graduated from Freeport High School in 1953. On July 12, 1958, Patricia married Gerold Leary. Mrs. Leary worked for General Casualty & FHN. Patricia enjoyed playing the piano, collecting cookbooks, traveling and talking on the phone. She was a Wisconsin Badger fan. Every year Patricia would look forward to Showtime in the spring and the Stephenson County Fair in the summer. Most of all Patricia enjoyed spending time and being with her friends and family. Survivors include husband; Gerold Leary, son; Jay (Kathleen) Leary, two granddaughters; Ashley Leary and Shannon (Rodney) Pritchett, grandson; Nathan (Layla) Atherton. Also surviving are four great grandsons; Noah Haring, Owen Haring, Seth Pritchett and Dylan Atherton. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; Lowell and Ruth Evers, mother and father in-law; Lloyd and Ruth Leary, son; Ty Leary, brother-in-law; Wallace Leary, sister-in-law; Shirley Leary, and one great grandson; Lathan Atherton. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home with Rev. David Leary officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs.
