Patricia A. Jamieson

Patricia "Patsy" A. Jamieson , 85, of Freeport, Illinois, formally from Chicago, passed away peacefully April 14, 2017 at Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport. Patsy lived her life for her family. She had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. She was very passionate about her Irish herritage, loving Irish music and dancers. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to the FHN Hospice team for their care and support, and to the entire staff at the Stephenson Nursing Center for their exceptional care and kindness to both Patsy and her family. Surviving are her brother John "Gurks" (Peggy) McCarthy of Chicago, daughter in law Penny Kennedy of Freeport, son James Kennedy, grandchildren Shane (Heather) Principe, Sean and David Kennedy, great grandchildren Cailin Clarke, Aiden and Avery Principe, nephew Patrick (Danielle ) McCarthy, special nieces; Lana, Cathy, Vera, and Laura, great nephews Devin and Jack McCarthy, and many cousins and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents John and Anne McCarthy, husbands; James "Jim" Kennedy, Douglas Jamieson, sons; John, Michael and Patrick Kennedy, special friends; Kate Downs and Nancy Bernas. Memorial Mass will be held Saturday May 20, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 653 West 37th Street Chicago, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Patsy will be laid to rest privatly at Resurrection Cemetery & Mousoleum, Justice, Illinois.
