Pastor Steve L. Barr

Pastor Steve L. Barr, 53, of Freeport, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Pastor Barr was born on August 27, 1962 in Freeport, the son of Leslie and Ruth (DeHaven) Barr. Steve married Linnea Andrach on January 3, 1987 in Freeport. Steve was Pastor and a member of East Gate Christian Center. Pastor Barr enjoyed playing basketball and softball. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Surviving are his wife, Linnea Barr of Freeport; mother, Ruth Barr of Dakota; three sons, Matthew Barr, Josh Barr, and Ezekiel Barr all of Freeport; three daughters, Ashly Barr, Rebecca Barr, and Abigail Barr all of Freeport; sister, Deborah (Joe) Doyle of Orangeville, and mother-in-law, Pearl Andrach of Freeport. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Barr; and father-in-law, Rev. Theodore Andrach. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday November 9, 2015 at Crossroads Community Church. Visitation will be Sunday 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
