Pastor Donald T. Plock

Pastor Donald T. Plock, 65, of German Valley, IL passed away Thursday June 16, 2022 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born March 12, 1957 in Freeport, IL the son of Robert and Donna (Willemssen) Plock. Don was the Pastor at German Valley United Methodist Church and Winnebago United Methodist Church since 2010. He was a member of the German Valley Lions Club for over 30 years and held many positions within the club during that time. Don was very creative and enjoyed arranging flowers, decorating cakes and painting. He also loved to sing. Don's nieces and nephews were very important to him. He referred to them as his favorites. Don loved to attend their sporting events and activities. He is survived by his parents Robert and Donna Plock of German Valley, IL; two sisters Debbie (Kevin) Daws of Lena, IL and RaeAnn (Randy) Miller of German Valley, IL; sister-in-law Denise Plock of German Valley, IL; nieces and nephews Erica (Jesse) Morgan, Katie (Ryan) Cerney, Jordan (Rachel) Plock, Brent (Alicia) Plock, Marissa (Miles) McShane, Connor (Staci Reinhard) Daws, Dylan Daws, Corbin (Helena Logan) Miller, Cortney Miller and Bryce (Olivia Snyder) Miller; and great nieces and nephews Gavin Cerney, Kailey Plock, Mackenzie Morgan, Matthew Plock, Gemma Cerney, Paisley Plock, Ashton McShane, Reagan Plock and Zion McShane. Preceding Don in death are his paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents and two brothers Ronald and Ricky. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses that were a big impact to Don over the past 21 years, especially Dr. Terry Miller. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday June 21, 2022 at German Valley United Methodist Church with Pastor Lisa Kruse-Safford officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. There also will be a visitation Monday June 20, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with a Lions Club service at 7:30 P.M. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Don's memory.
