Oscar Heinrich, 96, a kind, gentle man, was born on October 22, 1917 in Freeport, Il, the son of John and Mary (Shermpf) Heinrich. He entered his heavenly life on December 1, 2013. Oscar married Myrtle Howard in 1939. Oscar, a WWII Veteran flew 35 missions defending his country. He was a mail carrier for The United States Postal Service. Oscar is survived by his son Jerry (Karen) Heinrich; his daughter Linda (Bill) Woitynek; his grandchildren Matt (Carol) Heinrich, Todd (Dawn) Heinrich, Troy (Tobi) Heinrich, and Josh (Jill) Heinrich, Tim (Felice) Woitynek, Dawn (Quinell) Brooks, Laura (Tim) Diehl, Sam Bryant, and Bill Brown; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his daughter Shirley Tessendorf, his parents John and Mary Heinrich, and his six brothers. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday December 4, 2013 at the Chapel of Peace in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded.
