Norma H. Durr

Norma H. Durr, 90, of Freeport, passed away Thursday November 30, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to Merle and Bessie (Tegg) Sheppard on February 8, 1927 in Peoria, IL. She married Adolph (Bud) Durr September 3, 1966 in Peoria, IL; he passed away January 27, 1988. Norma worked for Block & Kuhl and Waren Radio in Peoria. She moved to Freeport in 1994 to be closer to her children. Norma is survived by her daughters Norma L. (Rockie) Munson and Marilee (Richard) Staas; her son J.D. Glenn; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters Vesta Diveley of AZ, Violet Sulaski of Peoria, and Merle Carter of CO; and her special friend Dale Jensen. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter Nora L. Johnson; sister's Mildred Jolly, and Margret Mosberg. There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
