Noel Donald Engbert

Noel Donald Engbert, 79, of Austin, Texas and former Freeport resident died Tuesday, September 27 in Austin, Texas. He was born January 18, 1932 in Freeport the son of Albert A. and Dorothy M. (Carmody) Engbert. Mr. Engbert was a United States Navy veteran, serving during the Korean conflict. Mr. Engbert was employed for over twenty years in the marketing-advertising business. He worked with Textron, Colt Industries, Amerock, Borg-Warner, Structo, Sterling Cadillac, Wahl, Raynor and NBD Bancorp. Mr. Engbert enjoyed travel, visiting 26 foreign countries and spent twenty of his later years criss-crossing the U.S. from coast to coast and border to border. Graveside services for Mr. Engbert will be Tuesday, 10:00 A.M. at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Freeport. Visitation will be from 8:30 -9:30 A.M. in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport.
