Nicholas Eugene Kuhse

Nicholas 'Nick' Eugene Kuhse, 34, of Franklin, WI and a former Freeport and Forreston, IL resident passed away Wednesday May 30, 2012 in his home. He was born on May 24, 1978 the son of Dennis and Ann (Burke) Kuhse. He was a graduate of Freeport High school. He worked in management for Menards for many years. Nick was an avid New York Giants and Chicago White Sox fan. He had an eclectic taste in music and enjoyed going to concerts, especially the Memphis trips with his mother. Nick had a very contagious personality, laugh, and smile and was always quick to meet new friends. He loved spending time with his niece, as she was the apple of his eye. Nick is survived by his mother Ann Kuhse; one brother Andrew Kuhse; one niece Kyrsten Kuhse; five uncles Thomas (Patty) Burke, John (Mary Jane) Burke, Robert (Dena) Burke all of Freeport, Lynn (Shirley) Kuhse of McConnell, Il, and Edward (Dorothy) Kuhse of Broadhead, Wi; one aunt Phyliss Kuhse of Stockton, Il; numerous cousins; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, two uncles, one aunt, two cousins, and special friends Chuck Macchi, and Orrie Tubbs. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday June 4, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Arturo Mallari officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday June 3, 2012 from 12:00-4:00 P.M at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport, and also from 9:30 until the time of service at the church.
