Nettie M. Eustice

Nettie M. Eustice, 78, of Freeport, died Friday May 31, 2013, at Dixon Health Care Center. Nettie was born on September 13, 1934 in Leaf River, the daughter of Herman and Vivian (Cuplin) Emmert. Nettie married Karl Eustice Sr. in Galena, Illinois in 1969. She worked for Newell and Emmert Drug Store. Nettie enjoyed bowling and playing Bingo. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. Surviving are her husband, Karl Eustice Sr., of Freeport; three sons, Gary (Sharon) Schwartz of Lena, Guy Bair of Mt. Carroll, and Karl Eustice Jr. of Freeport; three daughters, Georgia Taylor of Dubuque, Iowa, Gerry (Jeff) Bower of Freeport, and Sandy (Bob) Shoemaker of Florida; brother Jim (Sandy) Krull; two sisters, Beverly (Gary) Pontnack of Freeport and Linda (Rick) Mathews of Baileyville. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, daughter and sister.
