Neil O. Rouse

Neil O. Rouse 80, of Freeport, died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in his home. Neil was born on January 24, 1935, in Freeport, the son of Floyd and Mildred (Sturm) Rouse. He was a business owner of a manufacturing company. Neil married Sharon J. Benoy on June 27, 1953 in Freeport. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Neil enjoyed gardening and fishing on Lake Erie for over 25 years. Family was a very important part of Neil's life. Neil is survived by his wife Sharon Rouse of Freeport; four sons, Timothy (Toni) Rouse of Strum, Wisconsin, Terry (Jeannie) Rouse of Freeport, Steven (Annette) Rouse of Freeport, Barry (Debbie) Rouse of Freeport; one sister Sue (Gerald) Kneubuehl of Rock City, Illinois; seven grandchildren Nicole, Megan, Allison, April, Jason, Kayla, and Kelsey; and nine great-grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Lonnie. Private family services will be held. A memorial has been established in his memory.
