Nechia Belle Wyatt

Nechia Belle Wyatt, 92, of Freeport died Friday January 17, 2020 at Walnut Acres in Freeport. She was born August 17, 1927 in Orangeville, IL to James C. and Hazel A. (Kline) Barrett. On February 28, 1948 she married Earl H. Wyatt Jr. in Scarboro, IL. She was a member of the Shannon Baptist Church. She loved to work in the yard, read, work on crafts, teach Sunday school and sing in the choir. She is survived by her husband; two daughters Connie D. (Richard) Heinrich and Earleen Richardson; two brothers Rydene Barrett and David (Pat) Barrett; and 30 nieces and nephews. Preceding Nechia in death is her parents; four brothers, Burrell, Gerald, Dyle and Keith; six sisters Geneveive (Frank), Eileen (Chuck), Nada, Bethel, Jean and Lois; son-in-law Timothy; brothers-in-law Frank, Tom, Webb, and Byron; and sister-in-law Grace. Memorial services will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established for the Rockford Rescue Mission or a nonprofit of your choice.
