Narcissa Emma Engle

Narcissa Emma (Von Allmen) Engle, 94, of Cedarville, passed into her heavenly home at Presence St. Joseph Center on Sunday June 24, 2018. Born July 12, 1923, in Dodgeville, WI, she was the daughter of John Robert and Emma (Williman) Von Allmen. Narcissa married Dick James Engle on September 17, 1942, in Freeport, IL. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2005. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Cedarville Historical Society. She served on the Society's Board for many years holding various offices, the last being as Vice-President. She was employed by Micro-Switch for fifty years, her last position being a management assistant, retiring in 2001. Surviving are her daughters: Carolyn (Alan) Lamia of Shawano, WI, Theresa Morris of Belvidere, IL, and Miriam (Bob) Schlueter of Freeport, IL; grandchildren and their families: Joseph (Sarah) Lamia and their children Madilyn and twins Sophia and Andrew of Clintonville, WI, Michael Lamia of Wheaton, IL, Charlie (Keith) Hardwick and children Blake and Charlize of San Jose, CA, Frank Duncan of Oklahoma, City, OK, Jeff (Jodie) Welty of Austin, TX and Jeff's children, Brandon and his daughter, Adilynn Nova, and Blake Welty of Wichita, KS, Lisa (Perry, Sr.) Hayden and children Perry, Jr., Adrianna, and Olivia of Wichita, KS, Christopher (Ariella) Breeze and children Solana, Brynlee, and Brantlee of Mesa, AZ; also surviving are nieces Cindy Smith of Oshkosh, WI, Samantha Smith of Chicago, IL, Tah Von Allmen of Astoria, NY, and nephew Jest Love of Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Patricia M. Welty, twin brothers Joe and John Von Allmen and their wives, Kathy and Terry; son-in-law David Foss and grandchild, infant Bryan Breeze. Funeral mass for Narcissa will be 10:00 Friday June 29, 2018 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 P.M. Thursday at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport; and also from 9:00 A.M. until the time of mass at the church. Burial will be in Cedarville Cemetery.
