Nancy R. Campbell

Nancy Rose Campbell Nancy died on Saturday, November 5, 2022,at Manor Court Nursing Home, in Freeport, IL. She was 86. She was born June 11, 1936, in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Algot and E. Ruth (Newberry) Larson. She is a 1954 graduate of Durand High School, and earned a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University in 1958. After a short career teaching at Dakota High School, Nancy married Norman Campbell in 1959. Nancy later did substitute teaching, and worked in banking and auditing. Among her hobbies, Nancy enjoyed singing, reading, gardening, and doing daily crossword and Sudoku puzzles. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Sally Campbell (Alexandria, VA); Linda Campbell Stacey (Jackson, OH); granddaughters, Maria Strickland (Painesville, OH); Jasmine Davis (Dublin, OH); great-grandchildren, Riley and Norah Strickland; and her sister, Jane Walsh (Denver, CO). She was predeceased by her parents, her brother (Harry Larson), and her husband. Family services will be held with Chaplain Sean Huguenin officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
