Nancy "Nan" J. Patterson

Nancy 'Nan' J. Patterson, 72, of Freeport, died Monday August 6, at Parkview Home. Nancy was born August 19, 1939 in Moline, IL., the daughter of Kenneth E. and Geraldine (Lawson) Gustafson. Nancy graduated from Freeport High School in 1957. She than graduated from William Woods College in 1959. She was employed as a stewardess for United Airlines and as a Realtor in both California and Illinois. Nancy was a member many groups and organizations including; PEO CHAPTER IY, Garden Club, Amity Society, and the Freeport Beautification Association. She held significant leadership roles in these organizations and office positions. Survivors include; mother; Geraldine Everitt, of Freeport, sister; Carole(Terry) Hoefle, of Freeport, special friend; George Hiveley, nieces; Angela McHugh, Abbe (Jeff) Hayner, both of Freeport, Amanda (Brennen) Roberts, of Aurora, Meredith (Rich) Muller, Aldie, VA, nephew; Andrew (Tracy) Gustafson, of Freeport, great-nieces; Allyson, Emily, and Katie Hayner; Addy and Ella Roberts; Jessica and Kate Muller, and Natalie Gustafson, great-nephews; Zach and Josh McHugh, Noah and Owen Roberts, Scott and Calvin Muller, James Patrick and William Gustafson. Also surviving are two step daughters; Lisa Patterson and Lynn Patterson both of California, and one step granddaughter Hanna Patterson. Nancy was preceded in death by her father; Kenneth Gustafson, brother; Jim Gustafson, and sister-in-law; Martha (Buchman) Gustafson. Memorial services for Mrs. Patterson will be 10:30 A.M. Monday August 13, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be Sunday August 12, 1:00-3:00 P.M. also at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
