Nancy L. West

Nancy L. West, 82, of Freeport, IL passed away Wednesday May 11, 2022, at her home with her sons and daughter-in-law by her side. She was born November 26, 1939, in Dubuque, IA to Lee and Ila (Harville) Larson. She married Kirk West February 17, 1962, in Dubuque, IA. Nancy was a mother and home maker while her children were in school later working as an Administrative Assistant for Attorney Stanley Rodkey and Dr. Charles Jones of Freeport. She was a member of the Freeport congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and pets, gardening, traveling, playing cards, especially Euchre and Hand and Foot. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan enjoying several trips to Lambeau field with her family. Nancy is survived by her two sons Scott (Marie) West of St. Charles, IL and Jeff West of Lyons, CO; daughter Kali West of Rock Falls, IL; two brothers Tom (Noreen) Larson of Dubuque, IA and Paul (Landa) Larson of Atlanta, GA; sister Shirley (Tiz) Sheehan of Dubuque, IA; and five grandchildren Josh West (St. Charles, IL), Shelby Stitz (Chicago, IL), Samantha Miller (Erie, IL), Sydney Stitz (St. Charles, IL) and Riley Stitz (St. Charles, IL); and one great-grandson Craig Cheatom (Chicago, IL). Preceding Nancy in death were her husband Kirk (January 25, 1995), parents, and siblings Dale, Roy, Mary (Toots), Jim and Teenie. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday May 14, 2022 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Elder Mark Garland officiating. Nancy's service will be livestreamed at www.burketubbs.com through her tribute wall appearing shortly before service time. A visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. until the time of service.
