Nancy J. Marceau, 85, of Forreston, passed away, Saturday February 5, 2022, at FHN Memorial Hospital, Freeport. Nancy was born May 11, 1936, in Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of James P. and Hilda (Wuebben) Lawson. She married Milton L. "Miltie" Marceau on December 18, 1954. Miltie passed away October 15, 2013. Nancy was a loving mother, homemaker, housewife, and caregiver. She was a member of North Grove Evangelical Church. Nancy enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, camping, and fishing, working on crafts, puzzles, cooking, and sewing. Nancy was the 1954 Sauerkraut Queen. Surviving is her two sons, Loran (Marcie) Marceau and David (Katie) Marceau of both of Polo; daughter, Fern (Vernon) Kruse of Lanark; brother, James D. (Phyllis) Lawson of Shannon; sister, Shirley (Don) Schryver of Milledgeville; and grandchildren, Joshua (Mandy) Kruse of Dubuque, Theresa (Travis) Brugger of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Sawyer and Keandria Marceau of Polo, and Brooklyn Marceau of Polo. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 23, 2022 at North Grove Evangelical Church. Visitation 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A memorial has been established in Nancy's memory.
