Nancy I. Tessendorf

Nancy I. Tessendorf, 74, of Freeport passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph's Center. She was born September 18, 1942 in Freeport to William and Hazel (Thomasson) Borchardt. Nancy married Robert F. Tessendorf on July 5,1959 in Warren, IL. Robert passed away March 22, 1973. Nancy was employed at The Newell Company for many years. Surviving are Nancy's three children, sister, Carol (Len Wasylyk) Borchardt of Freeport; uncle, Lee Thomasson of Freeport; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband and longtime companion Jake Metz. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday April 10, 2017 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with a visitation from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Zion-Graham Cemetery in South Wayne, WI.
