Nakita "Kita" Jackson

Nakita "Kita" Marshelle Jackson 40, of Freeport, Illinois, departed her earthly life on Sunday July 5, 2020 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born June 19, 1980 in Freeport, the daughter of Louverda Jackson and Ruben Lockett. She obtained her formal education from Freeport schools. She then went on to Rock Valley College where she earned her medical assistant certificate. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age. She worked at Malcom Eaton in Freeport, and for Easton in Watertown, Wisconsin, where she lived for several years before returning to Freeport. Nakita was a proud Aunt, God Mother, and Sister. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved to have get togethers, playing card games, and to laugh with her loved ones. Kita had a laugh no will ever forget. Nakita leaves to cherish her memories; sister, Kimberly Jackson and Lisa Rand; godson, Isaiah Redlin; two nieces, Kamiylah and Shabricka; twin nephews, Rashawn and Dashawn; aunts, Alberta, Patricia, Linda, and Doretha; uncles, Andrew (Norma) Jackson and Elmo (Brenda) Jackson, Will Jackson and John Jackson Jr.; 14 first cousins; special friends, Angie Ellis, Devon Francis, and Danyell Wallace; also surviving are a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louverda Jackson of Freeport and Ruben Lockett of Rockford; maternal Grandparents, Verline and John Jackson; maternal aunt, Barbara Jackson Brooks; and special cousin, Jason L. Brooks. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday July 11. 2020 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs.
