Minnie R. Cali

Minnie R. Cali, 91, of Freeport died Sunday at Provena St. Joseph Home in Freeport. Minnie was born September 17, 1919 in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Angelo and Virginia (Verdina) DiModica. Minnie and Carmen J. Cali were married on September 8, 1946 in Freeport. He died on November 10, 2004. She worked for Burgess, Micro Switch and Young'™s Restaurant. She was a member of St. Mary'™s Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary and the National Catholic Society of Foresters Church Club. Minnie was also a avid Cub Fan and enjoyed to play bingo. Survivors include one son, Michael (Lucy) Cali of Freeport and two grandchildren Gina Cali(Ben Hamon) of Madison and Angie Cali (Zak Fullerton) of Freeport. She was preceded in death by; her parents, husband, son, Phillip and two brothers and two sisters. Funeral Services will be Monday 10:30 A.M. at St .Mary'™s Catholic Church with Father Robert Camacho officiating . Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at St. Mary'™s.
