Milton Keith Fager

1947-2025

Milton Keith Fager, 77 of Forreston, Illinois, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 12, 2025. Born on August 3, 1947, Milton was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, who touched the lives of many with his kindness, strength and unwavering love for his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cathy (Bishop) Fager; his brother, Robert Fager; and his four daughters, Tana (Keith Reynolds), Robin (Rick Lumadue), Becky, (Nate Boerman) and Sherry (Will Jansen). Milton was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren - Abby, Josh, Jakob, Alyssa, James, Wrigley, Eli, and Emily – and a cherished great-grandfather to five - Amelia, Jackson, Jon, Lilly and Noah. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Oma (Kramer) Fager.

Milton had a deep passion for farming and took great pride in cutting firewood to prepare for the long, cold northern Illinois winters. Milton also worked for Kable Printing/Quebecor for over 43 years. 

 The love he had for his family will last for generations. Our most precious gentle grizzly bear will truly be missed.

 A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday February 17, 2025 at the Leaf River Baptist Church. Visitation 9:30 am until the time of service at the church.
