Milly Seefeldt Brubaker

Mildred Helen Seefeldt Brubaker, 91, of Freeport, died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Parkview Home. 'Milly' was born July 7, 1919 to Ben and Anna (Altenbern) Schwarze. To all of us who experienced her beautiful nature and generous spirit we feel a great loss. Without a doubt she was one of God'™s very special children and now is sure to be held in his embrace for eternity. Milly was a lifelong resident of Freeport. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1937. On October 12, 1940 she married Arthur Seefeldt. He died on November 11, 1994. They farmed for many years on Henderson Road. They had two children, Elizabeth Ann, married to Tom Simon and now lives in Mount Vernon, Iowa, and a son Tom Seefeldt, married to Mae Montie, they live in Billings, Montana. Milly is also survived by two grandchildren, Benjamin Simon of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Justin (Nellie) Simon of Laramie, Wyoming. On May 3, 1998 she married Donald Brubaker. They lived together at Parkview Home until her death. She was a member of Park Hills Evangelical Free Church and former member of St. John United Church of Christ. Milly retired from Micro Switch where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was also a member of Germania, Freeport Woman'™s Club, Hospice of Northwest Illinois, Contact, and Scottish Rite Woman'™s Club. In addition to her immediate family, she is also survived by 1st cousins; Donna Newbauer, Stanley Altenbern, Richard Schwarze and Ruth Zabrocki.
