Mildred L. Russman, 91, of Forreston died Friday September 14, 2018 at Winn Prairie in Freeport. She was born November 13, 1926 in Forreston the daughter of Jacob and Wilhelmina (Harrenstein) Ludwig. On May 10, 1969 she married Dale Russman. Mildred was a member of Forreston Reformed Church. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her lawn, upholstering and renovating furniture. Surviving are her daughter Donna Bennett of Forreston; two step-daughters Jan (Art) Atilano of Dixon and Marceile (Ron) Pritchard of Dixon; one sister Vera Johnson of Forreston; two nephews Alan (Judi) Ranz of Forreston and Galen Russell of Forreston; and many step-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, son in infancy Lyle E. Bennett, stepson Brian Russman, step-daughter Wanda Bramer; two brothers Alvin Ludwig and Marvin Ludwig, and sister Velma Scheaffer. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday September 19, 2018 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston with Rev. Lyle Zumdahl officiating. A visitation will be held from noon until the time of service. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name.
