Michael John Grenier Baptiste

Michael John Grenier Baptiste, 72, of Madison, WI passed away April 30, 2022 in his home. He was born November 2, 1950 in Calcutta, India to Samuel Baptiste and Margaret Hill. Michael was an accountant at various companies and spent 25 years with Newell Rubbermaid. Upon retirement Michael also worked at the Eagles Club #679 in Freeport where he was also a member. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Michael enjoyed technology and was very computer saavy. He loved reading books and watching movies, mostly in the Sci-Fi genre; he had aspirations to write his own novel someday, and have his place amongst the stars. He is survived by his eight children Jenna Leverton, Jeremy (Ashley) Dietmeier, Tania Dietmeier, Blaise Baptiste, Vincent Baptiste, Aubrey Baptiste and Tyne Baptiste; siblings Christpoher (Sue) Baptiste and Marie (Paul) Watts; two nephews Chritopher and Timothy Watts; and five grandchildren Mason Dietmeier, Madisyn Dietmeier, Rory Leverton, Olyvia Leverton and Kynzie Leverton. Preceding Michael in death are his parents and uncle George Baptiste. Memorial mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11th at St. Thomas Aquinas Church with Father Peter Snieg officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of mass. Internment will be in Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum, Freeport. A memorial has been established in Michael's memory.
