Michael J. Myers, 51, of Freeport, IL, died Thursday September 30, 2021 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born October 27, 1969 in Freeport, Il, the son of James and Elaine (Gagnon) Myers. Michael married Britteny Reimer August 16, 2020 in Oregon, IL. Michael worked in maintenance for the Oregon and Mt. Morris School District 220. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. He was a huge Dave Mathews Band fan. He enjoyed music, movies, and enjoyed making people laugh. He was the life of the party and was a good person with a generous heart. Michael is survived by his wife Britteny Myers of Freeport, IL; parents, James and Elaine Myers of Freeport, IL son, Christopher Stewart of Mt. Morris, IL; daughter, Mackinzie Reimer of Rockford, IL; sisters, Monique (Mike) Campbell of Freeport, Il and Michelle (Miles) Beske of Freeport, IL; grandson, Colton Artz; nieces, Alicia, Ashley, and Kiera; nephews, Joshua, Zachary, Peyton, and Devin; special friend, Salvatore "Sam" Cimino and dogs, Rosko, Cecil, and Daisy. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents Arthur "Elmo" and Edith Myers, and James "Beaver" and Wilma Bender A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7:00 P.M. Thursday October 7, 2021 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Burial of cremains will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport, Il. A memorial has been established in Michael's memory.
